Brother Printer scan issues : won’t scan on Windows 10
Brother printers are known for being reliable, easy to use, space saving and functional as you can not only print but also copy, scan or fax.
However, not all manuals have troubleshooting steps that are exhaustive for each and every problem you may face, such as when the Brother printer does not scan if you are using the Windows 10 operating system.
In this case, the network settings of the scanner driver may be incorrect, so we have listed some fixes you can apply when the Brother printer does not scan in Windows 10.
Delete Driver history:
- Open the Control Panel on your computer.
- Open the “Hardware and Sound” folder and then click “Devices and Printers”.
- Right click on your Brother printer model and select “Remove Device” from the menu.
- Confirm the deletion by clicking “Yes“.
- Once removed, left click on another device and open “Print Server Properties” at the top of the window.
- Click on the “Drivers” tab and check if there is an entry for your Brother printer.
- If there are, select and delete them.
- Now return to the Control Panel home screen. Select Programs and then Programs and Features.
- Select and delete the Brother entries. Once completed, restart your computer.
